My Story

Hello, I’m Karen—a certified health and wellness coach and self-proclaimed nutrition nerd. Berry Rooted is your guide to a healthier, more vibrant life through the power of whole foods. I believe that nourishing your body doesn’t have to be complicated and doesn’t have to taste like sadness.

Truthfully, I haven’t always been the healthiest eater. For years, I would grab whatever was convenient (read: processed) and often felt sluggish, low on energy, or just… blah. Eventually, I got tired of feeling bad, and I decided to take control of my health. I became a bit of a nutrition nerd — diving into everything I could learn about how food can fuel us, heal us, and help us feel our best.

Losing my dad to an aggressive cancer pushed me even further. It made me realize just how precious health is, and how much power we have to care for our bodies through what we eat.

That’s why I created Berry Rooted: a space where wholesome ingredients meet simple, super satisfying recipes designed to fuel your body and delight your taste buds.
